Nicole I. CostInternship Placement Coordinator
Nicole (Imbrogno) Cost, SPM 2008, started as an internship placement coordinator in Sport Management in July 2016. Previously, she held a similar position at the University of Memphis in 2015-16, where she worked as an instructor in event management, venue management, and social media commerce, in addition to advising and mentoring students through field experience opportunities and their Senior Capstone.
She works with SPM seniors on Capstone placement, undergraduates on internships and advising, as well as being a liaison for department alumni. She is the co-advisor of the SPM Women in Sports and Events (WISE) Club. She also teaches SPM 201.
Cost spent seven years working as a marketing and promotions professional at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the University of Memphis, and Duquesne University. As a director of marketing and promotions, Cost was the 2012 National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators(NACMA) $1000 Idea Award Winner, won several NACMA “Best Of” Awards, and served on the NACMA Young Professionals, Programming, and Professional Development committees.
She also served as the game producer and band/spirit squad liaison for three NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament sites, and was the 2016 and 2017 game producer for the Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Conference Championships.
