Internship Placement Coordinator

Emily Williams is a native of Central New York. Before coming to Syracuse University, she worked in the non-profit and human service sector for nearly ten years. During her tenure, she co-created and implemented a nutrition and health education curriculum for individuals with living with chronic health conditions and HIV/AIDS. She contributed to grant proposals, program lobbying and various outreach strategies across NYS. She also worked during the initial implementation of the Affordable Care Act in New York State under the Obama administration. Her and her team enrolled, assisted and educated over 70,000 New Yorkers in regards to their health care needs. Arriving at Syracuse University, Emily will still be working closely with community agencies in support of student success at their practicum sites.
