Syracuse University will host Spring 2017 Receptions for admitted undergraduate students April 3, 10, 17 and 21. Spring Receptions brings admitted students together to celebrate with their new classmates, explore campus, meet with representatives from University offices and student organizations, and learn more about their program.
Each Spring Reception program begins with a welcome in Goldstein Auditorium in the Schine Student Center. Visitors are then ushered to their individual schools and colleges to meet with faculty and students. Afterwards, visitors assemble in the Carrier Dome to enjoy lunch and learn more about life at SU at the Campus Life Expo.
After lunch, visitors can take a tour of campus and the residence halls. Then, visitors are welcome to explore other University offices as well as individual academic programs in the schools and colleges, including the Falk College Open House. Keep an eye out for Otto the Orange—he loves to take pictures with visitors at Spring Receptions!
Students who attend the April 3 reception are invited to register for Own the Dome on Sunday, April 2. Spend the night in the Carrier Dome getting to know your new classmates and enjoy entertainment and activities.
Live in the New York City area? There is also a NYC version of the admitted student reception especially for you March 25 at 10 a.m. Keep an eye out for an invitation in the mail.
For Spring Receptions, the University recommends casual dress, comfortable shoes and being prepared for weather conditions. Online registration opens mid-March.
