SU Sport Management Club holds online sports auction in collaboration with Steiner Sports to benefit Make-A-Wish® of Central New York

December 5, 2014—The Sport Management Club at Syracuse University, in collaboration with Steiner Sports, is holding an online auction of premium items now through December 9, 2014 at 10 p.m. Select the SU SPM Club for Make-A-Wish Auction to view all the items available. Just in time for the holidays, this online auction is part of the Syracuse University Sport Management Club’s Charity Sports Auction. All proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish® of Central New York.

The online auction offers a wide range of sports memorabilia including an autographed basketball by 2014 NBA MVP Kevin Durant, a boxing glove signed by Manny Pacquaio, a Muhammad Ali commemorative plaque, a 2014-15 LA Kings team-signed jersey, an authentic signed Tom Brady jersey, a Martin Brodeur autographed goalie mask, a team-signed 2014 NCAA Champion UCONN Men’s Basketball, two courtside tickets to a Sixers game in the 2014-2015 season, an autographed Blake Griffin jersey, a signed authentic Ben Roethlisberger jersey, a framed golf flag signed by Rory McIlroy, Darren Clarke, Keegan Bradley, Charl Schwartzel, and an Olympic flag from the 2004 Olympics held in Greece, signed by the gold medal-winning women’s basketball team.

The online auction will also feature other items including a three-day, two-night stay for two at the Tween Waters Inn on Captiva Island, Florida, a baking class, private tour, and personal meet and greet with the Cake Boss at Carlo’s Bakery, an autographed script from TV’s latest hit How to Get Away With Murder, four passes for a behind-the-scenes experience at an EXTRA show including a meet-and-greet with host Mario Lopez, and the opportunity for an aspiring young journalist to go backstage at ESPN headquarters in Connecticut.

The SU Sport Management Club is a student-run organization of the Department of Sport Management in the Falk College. Since its founding in 2005, the Club has raised nearly $213,000 for local charities, including the Syracuse Boys and Girls Clubs, the American Diabetes Association of Central New York, the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, the CNY Ronald McDonald House, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Upstate Cancer Center, Special Olympics New York, and the Food Bank of Central New York. The SPM Club has been recognized with the Chancellor’s Award for Public Engagement and Scholarship and received the 2009 Orange Circle Award from the SU Alumni Association.
