The conference aims to increase interdisciplinary understanding of the role of family, community, and educational practices in childhood development. In keeping with the focus of promoting children’s safety and optimal development, this year’s topics include: play and imaginary companions, play and executive functions, play and health, play and multiple intelligences, and conceptions of play and culture. One of the featured speakers will be Dr. Scott Eberle, Director of the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester, New York, and Editor of the American Journal of Play.
