Videos: Exercise Science Alumnae

In these videos you’ll meet two of our distinguished alumnae from the Department of Exercise Science in the Falk College at Syracuse University.

Veronica Tearney, CSCS-RSCC, Pn1, USAW

Veronica Tearney is the director of strength and conditioning for Olympic sports at Syracuse University and responsible for training the cheer, dance, and mascot squads, overseeing the student-athlete fueling station, and providing nutrition support for all athletic department teams. As a certified strength coach and personal trainer for 20 years, Tearney has a wide range of experience in the fitness world, ranging from competitive athlete to fitness author. Tearney was a track and field athlete as an undergraduate at Syracuse from 1995-2000, and she was a member of the Canadian National Team at the 2001 World University Games in Beijing, China.

Jennifer Speicher, MPA, FACHE

A former Syracuse University student-athlete lettering four years in swimming, Jennifer Speicher majored in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition Science and completed her master’s in public administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse. Speicher is Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Auburn Community Hospital, where she is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining key strategic initiatives within the hospital. She previously worked as Associate Administrator, Ambulatory Services, at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where she was responsible for assessing, managing, and facilitating clinical practice operations for ambulatory areas of the hospital.
