Through coursework and field experience, as well as guidance from your Falk College Career Advisor, you’ll be prepared to succeed in a variety of fields, including:

Physical Therapy
Students complete at least 270 hours of internship or field placement experience, including shadowing opportunities at three hospitals within walking distance, observing at local-area private practices, conducting research with faculty, or working with SU athletics. Placement support is provided by the Falk College internship coordinators.
More than half of our students pursue a doctorate of physical therapy (DPT). Choose our pre-physical therapy track to complete some requirements for graduate study in physical therapy or related areas.
You may also choose to apply for the 3+ 3 DPT program with SUNY Upstate Medical University, allowing you to complete both your undergraduate degree and a DPT in six years instead of the usual seven.
92 percent of the Class of 2017 were employed or in graduate school within six months:
- 40 percent doctorate of physical therapy (DPT) school
- 28 percent other clinical programs: athletic training, medical school, occupational therapy, physician’s assistant, nursing, speech therapy
- 27 percent coaching and personal fitness
- 5 percent public health and research
