Department of Sport Management in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics
Syracuse University's Department of Sport Management strives to ensure students with a passion for sport also gain a broad knowledge of the business. In 2008,a $5 million gift from renowned sports agent David B. Falk '72 and his wife, Rhonda S. Falk '74, established the David B. Falk Center for Sport Management, a collaborative, interdisciplinary research center. In 2011, the Falks then committed $15 million to SU-one of the largest-ever single gifts to the University. In honor of the Falks' generosity and support of SU, the College of Human Ecology, which included the Falk Center for Sport Management, was renamed the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics. The gift also allowed the college-portions of which were housed in eight different campus buildings-to relocate to a new, central location at MacNaughton and White halls, formerly home to the College of Law.
