John and Patricia Reilly’s commitment to high-quality infant & toddler care and safety inspires gift for new child care and community education center

Continuing their unwavering commitment to the safety and well being of children in child care settings and strong advocacy for training early childhood students and providers, Syracuse University alumnus John D. Reilly III ’69, G’70 and his wife, Patricia M. Reilly, have pledged $3.5 million toward the construction of a new campus child care and educational center.

In addition to improving school readiness of more children from zero to five years old, the building complex will allow Syracuse University to expand training and research opportunities in early childhood education available to students and educators. Professionals in this field, as well as child care providers locally and nationally, will also benefit from educational programming, new model practices and the development and dissemination of evidence-based child care research globally. The Jack Reilly Learning Campus for Child Care Excellence will expand care and training for students and the Syracuse community while providing a new home for The Jack Reilly Institute for Early Childhood and Provider Education.
